Post-procedure precautions
- Temporary redness, itching, and acne may occur for 1-3 days after toning laser. This is an easily treatable side effect that tends to occur early in the treatment (1-2 sessions) and depends on your skin condition.
- If you experience these symptoms, apply the prescribed ointment (videocream) on the first day and they usually subside within 1-2 days, but if you don't feel better, call your doctor.
- The pigmented treatment area may appear darker than before the procedure.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure and be sure to apply sunscreen to the treatment area.
- A scab may form after the procedure, but don't force it off until it falls off naturally.
- Your skin may feel dry after the laser, so make sure to apply a good moisturizer.
- What to do after Fotona/Pico 532
Keep Duoderm for 2 weeks. Don't change it every day, but keep it on for 2 weeks as you were given it by your doctor. If the Duoderm falls off, reapply it.
After 2 weeks, remove Duoderm and apply Silkronge Cream or Bade Cream twice daily for 4 weeks.
